Andrew has over 30 years of civil engineering experience developed through various executive and senior roles across the full project development cycle, including due diligence of operating assets. He specializes in the engineering and construction of dams, tunnels, hydropower and pumped storage projects.
Andrew’s experience in construction, design and operation, coupled with his understanding of technical, commercial and contractual imperatives has enabled him to manage diverse projects and teams across Australia, Asia, Southern Africa, Europe and South America. Key roles have been as Chief Engineer on the 3300 MW Ertan hydropower project in China, Project Manager on the 32 km Mohale Tunnel project in Lesotho, Project Director on the 1332 MW Ingula Pumped Storage Project in South Africa and currently Group Technical Director for Hydropower and Dams for McConnell Dowell.
Andrew has been involved in the Kidston Pumped Storage Project through the full Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) stage and in the project delivery.
