Sam works as a Transport Engineer at GHD, specialising in transport modelling and identifying solutions and strategies to implement long term transport solutions that are cost-effective and sustainable. Sam’s broad range of experience includes; concept development, scenario testing, road audits, contract administration, project management and grant support. Sam undertook her Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at University of Tasmania (UTas), undertaking her research project on optimising parking locations to ease traffic congestion and promote sustainable mode choices. Since, university Sam has been an active member of Engineer’s Australia, starting as campus coordinator for UTas and eventually joining the Young Engineers Australia Tasmania committee when it was re-established in 2018. Sam is currently Chair of the Tasmanian committee and represents Tasmania on the national committee. Sam is passionate about providing and promoting sustainable solutions as an alternative to standard infrastructure projects.
