Satya Tanner FIEAust CPEng

formerly Greater Changhua 01&02 Wind Farm Project Team, Ørsted

Satya has recently returned from overseas, where she was part of Ørsted’s project team for the Greater Changhua 01&02 Wind farm in Taiwan. There she played a significant role in implementing systems engineering approaches, before which she worked in Offshore Engineering for Siemens Gamesa, gaining significant insights into the complexities of wind turbine design and installation.

Satya has also worked in the Aerospace and Oil & Gas Industries in a variety of project management roles in the US and Denmark. Her experience is grounded in a 16-year career as a pilot and aerospace engineer in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), reaching the rank of Squadron Leader. During that time, she was the 13th woman to become an Air Force pilot; supported humanitarian operations after the Bali bombings of 2002; and managed multi-million dollar logistics engineering support programs for C-130 fleets.

Satya has a Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering, Master of Leadership, Master of Training and Development, and is PMP Certified. In her spare time, she created a professional development app and community for Women in STEM, “Her Toolbox”, for women who feel like they are hitting a ceiling in their career and realise that technical skills alone are not enough.
